Avaya’s new Global Head of Channel receives a positive reaction from the Aura Alliance’s influential membership of top Avaya partners at the Alliance’s global conference held in Hong Kong.
The Aura Alliance’s fifth annual conference of global members was hosted this year at the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel on Hong Kong Island. Following previous conferences in Europe and the America’s, this year’s location reflects the importance of Asia as a growth market for business communications.
Speaking at the conference was the Global Head of Channel for Avaya, Joe Lohmeier, who gave insight into Avaya’s 2016 plans and answered pressing questions on channel strategy during an in-depth Q & A session with the Alliance members. The Conference comes three weeks before Avaya’s own Channel Partner Forum, giving Aura Alliance members advance opportunity to express opinion on Avaya strategy.
Response to the conference was summed up by Alliance member Randy Bergeron, President of Unity Connected in Canada:
““The conference was even better than I had hoped. It was both collaborative and constructive, and the insights gained have been extremely valuable for my business. Having Avaya’s new VP of worldwide channel, Joe Lohmeier, brought it to the next level. It was a fantastic event I would not want to miss in the future.”
The conference comes at a time when the Aura Alliance enters a new phase of growth driven by investment in additional resources and revenues from a recent series of important client wins.
Aura Alliance Founder and CEO, Tony Parish, emphasises the importance the conference brings to the calendar of global communications events:
“It seems a lot longer than 5 years ago that we held our first conference in London – so much has been achieved and the Alliance has grown beyond our expectations. Our services and global coverage have matured to form a global organisation that is now unmatched in the quality and availability of Avaya support we can offer on a worldwide basis. In turn, our annual conference has become an important source of feedback for Avaya strategists as well as Avaya Partners wishing to build their global enterprise business.”
The next Aura Alliance Global Conference is planned for November 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal.
