First up, let’s clarify what’s happening with Avaya Aura and how it will affect those still using it. From 13th December 2021, new orders for Avaya Aura 8 will no longer be accepted. Additional licenses for version 8 will be available until December 2022, however current perpetual licenses with SA/UA maintenance will move to subscription models.
Once End of Sale comes into force for Avaya Aura 8, all new installations will be procured as Aura 10. Crucially, the new version will be subscription-only meaning longer commitments and increased cost, and Avaya will no longer support previous versions.
